What I build with, layer by layer.

I design the screens, build them for the web and the phone, write the server behind them and ship them to the stores. Below is what I reach for at each layer, and the projects where you can see it working. No percentages; the work is the proof.

I start in Figma and stay there until the flows hold up. Then I design the motion, because that's usually where an interface starts to feel finished.

  • Figma

Flows, components and clickable prototypes before any code.

  • Design systems & theming

Twelve themes and a custom-photo theme engine in SnapTrail.

Kinetic type and SVG line work on Haven; nine animated break scenes in Screen Therapy.

  • Photoshop & Illustrator

Icons, vector assets and image prep for the web.

Web

Marketing sites, dashboards and full web apps, mostly on Next.js. I care about the first paint and the last 10% of polish about equally.

One React Native codebase, two stores. When the JavaScript side runs out, I drop into the native layer instead of working around it.

  • React Native

iOS and Android from one codebase, shipped to both stores.

The part nobody sees: auth, data, payments, and the rules that stop people cheating. I'd rather the server own the truth than trust the client.

EpicQuest's codes never reach the phone: answers, rate limits and lockouts run on the server.

  • Stripe

Payment Intents, Checkout, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

I use models where they remove real work for the user, and I check their output. Some run in the cloud; some run on the device with no network at all.

  • Gemini

Remi, SnapTrail's travel buddy, plans trips day by day.

  • OpenAI

Vision OCR that turns photos of prescriptions into records.

  • Streaming responses

Server-sent events, so answers appear as they're written.

  • Core ML & MediaPipe

Face models converted to Core ML, running on the Neural Engine.
